what is hedge laying?
The ancient craft of hedge laying has been used for hundreds of years to regenerate overgrown or neglected hedgerows to create a sustainable, stock proof boundary. It is effectively a living fence. A hedge layed in the traditional style not only looks beautiful but regenerates the plants and provides a haven for creatures and a wildlife corridor.
Lay your hedge
Hedges suitable for laying are typically traditional field or woodland boundaries, but garden hedges can also be layed, if the hedge contains suitable native plants like hazel, hawthorn, holly and field maple.
